Target audience 

IOSH Managing Safely acts as a full introduction to Health and Safety, targeted at managers and supervisors.

Entry requirements 

No pre-requisites but experience of managing the health, safety and
welfare of staff would be advantageous.

Course content 

The delegate will study the following modules:

  • Introducing managing safely
  • Assessing risks
  • Controlling risks
  • Understanding responsibilities
  • Understanding hazards
  • Investigating incidents
  • Measuring performance
Teaching & Learning 

The course is taught through a variety of theory based
sessions.

Assessment criteria 

Assessment is by means of a multi-choice examination and the successful
completion of a risk assessment based project in the candidate's
workplace.

Progression 

NEBOSH National General Certificate.

Other information 

Successful delegates will receive a "Managing Safely" certificate issued by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)

    This course is delivered on a commercial basis therefore fee remission does not apply. For more information on fees or anything else relating to this programme Please contact Sam.

    Fees include City & Guilds registration, certification, use of Requirements for Electrical Installations manual, refreshments, lunch and free car parking. Group discounts available

    Application & Enrolment

    You are able to apply online for all courses, however to complete your course enrolment fully, you will need to have an interview and then be accepted onto a course. The only courses available to enrol online are Full Cost courses, if you wish to enrol on any other course please call into Student Services or call 01429 295000.
