Learners must attend an IAG session prior to enrolling, these take place every week at Seymour's Skills Academy.
Learners will be individually invited to a session after referral is received.
Hartlepool College of Further Education and Seymour Skills Academy are providing outstanding training opportunities
to provide the essential skills and industry accreditations required for construction and civils roles across the sector.
All training is delivered at Seymour's Skills Academy, an 11-acre construction site based at Brenda Road, Hartlepool.
Full PPE is provided to all learners.
Gateway to Construction:
- NRSWA Street works (units 1-6, & 9) & Hot lay
- CSCS Green Card/L1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment
- Detection of Underground Services (Cat & Genny)
- Abrasive Wheels
- Asbestos Awareness
- Hand Arm Vibration
- Emergency First Aid
- Stihl Saw training & Face fit for Masks
Build Training:
- Excavator 360 Mini Digger
- Forward Tipping Dumper
Reinstatement Training:
- Ride on Roller
- Slinger/Signaller
City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Facilities Services Principles:
- Introduction to the Facilities Industry
- Workplace Hygiene in the Facilities Industry
- Health, Safety and Security in the Facilities Industry
- Customer Service in the Facilities Industry
Practical/exam assessments and portfolio building.
Upon completion of this course learners are guaranteed an interview with local employers for positions within the
construction industry.
